Duties & Responsibilities

• Reviewing projects against CARD-F criteria and assessing overall feasibility;
• Analysing implementation modalities and ensuring effective institutional arrangements;
• Supporting monitoring and reporting arrangements including design of project log-frame and ensuring adequate M and E arrangements;
• Advising on project formulation and supporting provincial and district staff as required;
• Developing and revising project formulation templates and project selection criteria based on lesson learned and experience;
• Evaluating finance and accounting related issues for each Economic Development Package and individual projects or interventions;
• Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities, which may be reasonably expected of the role and as necessary, including travel throughout Afghanistan.

Job Requirements

• Degree in one of the following; project management, engineering, economics, rural development and agronomy. Master and higher degrees are preferred or equivalent experience
• 5 years experience related to project formulation, review and assessment with an International organization or national government programme
• Fluent in English and the national languages of Afghanistan.
• IT Literate and good working experience of MS Office.
