Job Summary:
The Site Engineers (Electrical, Civil) will have a degree in engineering and preferably 10 years of experience working in development/rehabilitation of transmission lines, substations and grid systems. The site engineers will be responsible for the following tasks:
Duties & Responsibilities:
Site Engineers/Inspectors (Electrical):
i. Review and approval of Drawing/Document submittals
ii. Carry out quality control checks on submitted materials
iii. Liaison with electrical engineers and project manager re layouts and civil/electrical interfaces
iv. Overall monitoring of site civil engineer and installation works.
v. Ensuring design and installation works are in accordance with specification and relevant
standards.
vi. Ensure that required measurements to determine accuracy of installed works is carried
out
vii. Ensure As Built drawings are properly approved and registered
i. Ensure all work in accordance with approved drawings
ii. Monitor contractor’s program
iii. Check works against approved drawings
iv. Monitor quality of work carried out by contractors. Carry out required measurements to
determine accuracy of installed works
v. Ensure all required safety measures are in place. In particular work closely with DABS
operations staff regarding required outages
vi. Ensure As Built drawings properly reflect site works
vii. Monitor installation, testing and commissioning.
